Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting.

Big City Mountaineers mentors under-resourced urban teens through transformative outdoor experiences to enrich lives, broaden horizons and instill critical life skills.

Big City Mountaineers is an organization built on the dedication, compassion, and youth development expertise of our staff, board of directors, volunteers, climbers, youth agencies, donors and teens. Our program has been carefully and intentionally crafted to have a lasting impact on the lives of young adults.

Currently we are serving teens and volunteers in the San Francisco Bay Area, Denver, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis and Chicago.

In addition to volunteers who donate a week of their lives to improve the future of the young adults we serve, we also rely on the support of our Summit for Someone climbers. Without the dozens of courageous volunteers who sign up for Summit For Someone each year, BCM would cease to exist. Our SFS climbers take on two formidable commitments: mentally and physically preparing to climb one of North America’s most challenging peaks, and raising thousands of dollars. All to help improve the lives of kids they might never meet.
